バスケットの試合で負けて、暴動化したダウンタウン
ここは少し前まで道場と住いだったマンションの前辺りです。今もダウンタウンに住んでいるジムのマンションの万前で起った光景だそうです。ジムは急いでマンションのガレージを閉めマンションの車は全て被害を受けずにすんだそうです。ダウンタウンを引っ越すと言ってました。息子たちも引っ越していて良かったです。ＨＰから光景が見られます。当時ジム夫婦は歩いて天心道場に稽古に来ていました。＾＾

What a way to wake up the day after the Lakers last game against the Orlando Magic!. Getting up early on a sunny Monday morning, opening your window curtains just to see the shocking graffiti all over your window (if living on he west side 1st. fl), or how about walking your dog around the building and seeing graffiti all along our building on Flower St. Plus the broken bottles everywhere. As you might know the hooligans gathered on the corner of 11th St. and Flower St. and trashed what ever was on their path including light poles, cars, trash cans, breaking windows, stealing and much more. The police were caught flat-footed and just watched the mayhem without intervening.
Thanks to Jim Talley who became aware of the danger of having such tragedy right in front of our building. Seeing the situation unfold, he ran to the parking garage and closed our gates for the protection of our property. Thankfully, no cars suffered any damage that night.
